New Project Of Bio-Medical Waste Treatment


The New Project is proposed to be started at Survey No: 431,Hire Bagewadi Village which is 24 Kms away from Belgaum City.
The Proposed site is located 3 kms away from the Hire Bagewadi Village.The Proposed site fulfills all the guidelines
and norms of Central and Karnataka State Pollution Control Board.

The Proposed Plant’s Installation

The following are the Machineries and the Pollution Control Equipments proposed to be install on the Proposed site of Hire-Bagewadi.

Workshop on Bio-Medical Waste Management

Association of Medical Establishments, Belgaum in collaboration with Regional Pollution control Board, Belgaum On 15th September,2012 Saturday at 4:30 P.M. programme regarding Implementation of Bio-Medical Waste (Management and Handling) & Workshop on Bio-Medical Waste Management was held. The Session was chaired by Municipal Commissioner Madam Priyanka M Fransis and Mr. I.H. Jagdish Regional Officer Pollution Control Board Belgaum and Smt. Rajeshwari J. Kulli Regional Environmental Officer (Chikodi) were the Chief Guest. Madam Priyanka Fransis while talking on this occasion as a chief guest told the various problems faced by Municipal Corporation regarding Bio Medical Waste. She also appreciated the work of Association of Medical Establishments and She has promised to give all the Co-Operation to the Association in establishing New plant with the Bigger Capacity in Belgaum. Later Mr. I H Jagdish Regional Pollution Control Board Officer Spoke on Effective Implementation of Bio-Medical Waste (Management and Handling) Rules for Various Health Care Establishments. 2). Dr. Alarlikatti Medical Officer BIMS, on In House Segregation, Transportation and
Temporary Storage of Bio-Medical Waste.
3). Dr.Mastiholi D P M O of DHO Office Belgaum, on Liquid Management of Bio-
Medical Waste
4). Dr. B.G. Halgekar President AME, Belgaum, on Bio Medical Waste Management
in Dental Clinics
